Workshops & group lessons
I also teach small groups, workshops and short intensive sessions. These formats are particularly well suited to jazz and improvisation, where listening, time and interaction between musicians are part of the learning process.
Jazz & improvisation workshops
Repertoire, listening, rhythm, phrasing, harmony and improvisation can be explored collectively through standards or material chosen for the group. The content depends on the level, the instruments present and the available time.
Collective ear and rhythm work
Singing a line, hearing a harmonic function, transcribing a phrase, transposing it, feeling a form or refining rhythmic placement takes on another dimension when several musicians must hear and play it together.
Schools, conservatories and established groups
Sessions can be organised for music schools, conservatories, associations, existing ensembles or small groups of musicians. They can be one-off workshops, short intensives or a series of sessions.

Organisation
Workshops and group lessons are organised around a project: group size, duration, location, level and goals are agreed in advance. Contact me with a few details about the group and I can suggest an appropriate format.
