Jazz workshops and masterclasses in Geneva
I periodically offer jazz and improvisation workshops and masterclasses in Geneva. These concentrated formats bring several sessions close together, allowing participants to work in depth on jazz language, harmony, rhythm and improvisation.
Focused work around jazz
The advantage of this format is the possibility of putting new ideas into practice immediately and returning to them quickly: experimenting, listening, adjusting and developing the work while it is still fresh. This continuity makes it possible to go further than a series of isolated lessons.
Improvisation, harmony and jazz language
The content is adapted to the level and objectives of the participants: standards, harmony, voicings, accompaniment, rhythm, phrasing, bebop vocabulary, ear training and the development of improvisation. Ensemble playing and guided listening can also be included depending on the format of the workshop.
Who is it for?
These workshops are open to instrumentalists and singers who would like to deepen their understanding and practice of jazz, whether they come from a classical background or already have experience with improvisation.
The work may be particularly useful for musicians who want to play with greater freedom, understand harmony more clearly, develop their ear, expand their vocabulary or build a more personal improvisational language.
